Guidelines for applying:
Pensioner’s rebate applications must be submitted by the 30th of May of each year.
Qualifying Criteria
Pensioners rebate
- Must be sixty years or older
- Must produce and Attach certified copy of bar coded ID with application for rebate
- Must be registered Owner of Primary property
- The applicant must reside permanently on property and submit proof residence. (The Property Category in Valuation Roll MUST be residential use only)
- Application to be submitted by 30 May preceding the start of the new financial year for which relief is sought.
Agricultural rebate
- Farm Agricultural
- Farm Residential
- Nature Reserve / Protected Areas ( Non Ratable If Registered)
- Farms State Owned are excluded from Agricultural Rebate
- Must produce and attach certified copy of bar coded ID with application for rebate
- Must be registered Owner of Primary property
- The applicant must reside permanently on the primary property and submit proof of residence.

- The Municipality reserves the right to prosecute anyone who willfully provides false information with the intention to benefit unlawfully from the rebates awarded. If Rebates are granted on false information provided by the Applicant, then the Municipality shall reverse all rebates immediately, which shall become due, owing and payable with interest
- The rebate granted will be determined by a Council resolution at the adoption of its annual budget.
- For only one property per APPLICANT can apply for either of the rebates in applicable form if the applicant has more than one property and qualifies both criteria.
